In the summer of 2019, Johnson spent time as an intern as Production Coordinator for the Orleans Firebirds of the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League. His career behind the mic is highlighted by broadcasts of multiple conference and NCAA Tournament games including the 2018 Northeast-10 Women's Soccer Championship and 20 NCAA Regional Quarterfinals matchups for soccer. In 2019 he earned a New England Emmy Honorable Mention for his work as a basketball broadcaster. He called numerous sports from baseball and basketball to field hockey and lacrosse. While at Franklin Pierce, Johnson also spent four years as a broadcaster for Ravens Sports Network primarily as play-by-play announcer. He also aided with gameday operations, writing, and graphics for the Ravens. With the Ravens, he worked three years in their Athletic Communications Office as Supervisor of Multimedia Productions where he was in charge of creating video content for Franklin Pierce Athletics social media and YouTube pages. Johnson is a 2020 graduate of Franklin Pierce University where he earned a degree in Sports Media. He also contributed by writing press releases, working on the athletics website, and generating graphics and social media content. At RWU, he largely focused on developing video content in addition to producing and hosting the podcast Hawk Talk. Prior to BHSU, Johnson was an Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant at Roger Williams University, and concluded his time there as Interim Director of Athletic Communications.
